While many of us have to deal with disabilities, it does not mean we are exempt from normal aging problems or difficulties specifically to men. Below are a few of the most common problems men face, especially after age 40:
Men's Skin
When you think about soft skin care, you generally think or see women's products. Men actually have just as sensitive skin as women, but because we are supposed to be tough, we don't discuss our skin problems like women, but we do have them. I've worked in the automotive business for nearly twenty years and if you know any mechanics, then you know chemicals dry out your hands and make them tough like alligators. In the past, men used to have a serious problem when it came to finding a product to treat dry skin, blemishes, dark circles under the eyes, and alligator hands. As a psyche major, my wife is always telling me that physical appearance, including your skin, plays an enormous role in determining how others perceive us. First impressions, unfortunately, are skin- deep, so it pays to look your best.
Treating your skin right isn’t just about scrubbing with a good soap and splashing on some after shave. Read more....
When you think of fashion, the first thing that comes to mind is women and women's styles, not men! For centuries women's style's have dominated store front windows and in the recent half century, the media. So it's now wonder we pick checks and polka dots to go together.
In recent years, men's fashion's and skin care have boomed. Men can be as sophisticated or fashionable as his counterparts. Fashion's you choose can distinguish you from the crowd, make you look more youthful or mature (whichever look you are attempting to achieve), and irresistible to the opposite sex.
Like women's fashion, men's fashion have learned to accessorize and enhance special features of the male anatomy. You've heard the old saying, "It's not the clothes that make the man, but the man who makes the clothes," is somewhat misleading and untrue. In fact, men that dress well go further socially and professionally. So, "It's clothes can make the man, but the man could choose the wrong clothes!" Read more.....

Prostate Problems
Millions of men suffer from one of a number of prostate problems and for most of them, the prostate problems begin to develop around middle age. Minor problems arise that require treatment or surgery that can cause urinary problems, like my father-in-law had. Most cases of prostate problems are not serious and symptoms are fairly mild. Unfortunately, some men will have serious prostate problems that will require treatment.

Hair loss related to androgens (hormones) or genetics is called androgenetic alopecia. Male pattern balding is characterized by a receding hairline and/or hair loss on the top or crown of the head. Balding occurs in both men and women but is more severe in men.
