Level #1 of Success

On a personal level, success has enabled me the freedom to work at home with a flexible schedule, so I can be the kind
of husband I want to be.

If you've read my story, you know things were going great! I managed to get out of a wheel chair after four years, I began
working a traditional job, I got married, I have a home and a step-son, and I went to college. Then I hit a snag. The
university I attended didn't want me in their Teacher Education Program even though I had worked soooo hard to
complete all the tasks required for admission. Sometimes it happens. Like getting disabled. That left me in somewhat a
    dilemma.

How does a disabled/handicapped man find a job that actually pays the same as a traditional job, makes allowances for
the handicap, and incorporates what I know extremely well?

    New Plan

I needed to work smarter, not harder.

I began searching the local papers and the Internet for jobs. Most of them only paid minimum wage. I had nearly
$20,000 in student loans to pay off. At minimum wage, that would take me into retirement. I was rapidly reaching the
point where I could no longer perform manual occupations so I continued to search the Internet. That’s when I realized
what it was I had been seeing. I had an epiphany. Too blind to see the trees for the forest? Millions of websites are filled
with topics that people are either experts in or have a special interest in. Then, it came to me. Their niche sites were
serving two purposes, one of information and the other of income. Their sites hosted information on specific topics,
useful hints or tips, but it was the advertising placed on their sites that generated an income. My wife, who is also
disabled, told me to publish my story. She said, first, it’s a way to teach disabled or handicapped people how to find their
way, and second, generating my own income.

Again, work smarter, not harder. This info publishing intrigued me. I didn’t really know if I wanted to tell my life story, but
I did want to help others in my position and I did need a new source of income. It was the perfect solution. I could
continue to work, but at home, bring in a necessary income, and help others. How could I lose?

The Creation of an New Informative Website

After much deliberation, I decided to give it a try . . . and I was passionate and knowledgeable (life is the best experience,
aside from a good formal education)!

After a lot of research, I chose the suite of website building tools, because it was easy to use and had a track record of
helping its users build websites with a high level of success.

And I began to compile the information I believed would have been helpful to me or rather my family when I first began
my long journey to recovery. My life after the accident began to pour out onto the page like water from a spring. Jimmy's
Internet Cafe was now a reality. I could provide some helpful information on how to overcame a difficult head trauma
and still make money even when I’m not at home!

    Freedom At Last

I work on my site whenever I can. I love having the freedom to do what I want to do. I have the liberty to arrange my day to
suit my needs instead of a bosses or my brother (no offense). I don’t have to get up at 6:00 am, put on my uniform and
face bumper-to-bumper traffic only to have someone without insurance ram the side of my car (it happened).

I have more time to spend with my wife, go scuba diving in the Caymans, see a play, or listen to some fine Jazz. I’m able
to take leisurely walks with my two labs down the block to see my parents.

Although I didn’t get into the Teacher Education Program, I was able to utilize my education to teach someone
something important. I found my dream job. I created that by myself but you don’t have to. I learned to work smarter, not
    harder.

I treasure the time I have with my family, especially my mother, who is suffering from her own debilitating illness. I finally
have the lifestyle I dreamed of for so long, and it was in front of me the whole time.

    My Work Day

I begin my workday by sitting on the patio in the morning, with an ice cold, glass of Café Du Monde (my favorite) and a
pad, brainstorming with my wife on how to improve my website. It’s the best office I have, although I have a real one
upstairs. My wife designed the patio and garden herself. The patio and garden are quite, like you live in the country,
except we live in the city with several thousand cars passing each week. You can’t hear the noise because of how it is
landscaped. There is a quaint little pond with gold fish, it is surrounded by apple and cherry trees that have begun to
produce fruit, along with bananas, grapes, kiwi, muscadines, blackberries, raspberries, and blueberries. There are
fragrant roses, lavender, gardenias, and jasmine climbing the archway along the walkway. Ornamental grasses line the
faux stream that runs the length of the garden. There are more than 100 varieties of fruits, spices, herbs, and flowers in
the garden, including pond flowers. We have a resident toad that irritates the dogs with his croaking during the spring.
There is shade during the summer and a fire pit to keep us warm at night. And the best part is you don’t have to wear a
uniform or suit, just casual clothes and slippers.

Just close your eyes and savor the moment, the birds are chirping, the smell of roses, jasmine, gardenias and lavender,
with a cool breeze blowing across your bare legs and face. I’m so grateful I have the time to enjoy life and all the
unexpected precious moments – the kind you miss when you’re at working downtown.

I am fortunate that I am able to experience the milestones in my family’s lives. I have a new niece and nephew (actually
they are the only grandchildren my parents have) that live in another city I like seeing them when they are in town,
something I was unable to do when I worked at my father’s business.

This type of success that can’t be measured.

    My 2nd Level of Success

One of the most rewarding things in life is knowing that you can make a difference in someone else’s life. I gave this
information out before but now it is a wonderful feeling knowing that the information I published in Jimmy's Internet
Cafe helps people with disabilities and their families! Read the testimonials you'll see what I mean.

    Testimonials

A woman who worked in our neighborhood and had diabetes, a high school education,  and only 52 years old, and a
husband that was out of work. Here's what she said,

"I am so grateful that we were able to talk. I filed for my disability and got it. I was able to have the surgery I needed to
lose weight and work part time. God Bless You!"

    Beth in Alabama

This one really touches my heart. Another Alabama resident and his wife both became physically unable to work before
the age of 65. His wife suffered from osteoporosis and had a bad heart and had to quit working while he had bad knees
and quite a few other problems. He had a retirement check coming in every month but it didn't meet the bills. He now
receives a disability check that meets their bills and they are awaiting to hear about hers.

Awesome! Being able to help people make a positive difference in their lives makes publishing my information on this
website far more rewarding than any 7-3 job I've ever had!

This type of success is immeasurable.

    My 3rd Level of Success

My third level of success can actually be measured. It’s an achievement I couldn’t have imagined was possible with any
type of business, 7-3 or Internet:

Jimmy's Internet Cafe has gradually grown into a very popular site on the web for information and encouragement for
people with head injury.  The majority of people who open a website and provide information get very few hits.

My website has a very higher traffic ranking compared to other websites with similar topics (even those who sell the
    information).

    How Did I Do It?

How is it possible for a website that's operated by disabled man who works from a lounge chair in his garden or his
desk in his home office achieve that kind of success?
Just email me and I will provide the information free! That's right, free. Other websites charge for this information, but as
a member of the disabled community I would like to see you succeed with as little start up costs as possible.
